"History in the Making: Renwick Craft Invitational 2011" opened March 25 and will run through July 31 at the Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Smithsonian American Art Museum's branch for craft and decorative arts.

Five accomplished artists will be presented to James Renwick Alliance members on March 27 at Spring Craft Weekend, its annual fundraising event. All are well-known and much appreciated, as indicated by the number of votes cast for each person last summer, and all have work displayed in the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Renwick Gallery.
