The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will host “Early American Guitars: The Instruments of C.F. Martin” through Dec. 7. The exhibition, which started in January, will be held at the Andre Mertens Galleries for Musical Instruments, Gallery 684, at the museum.

Maine Wood 2014 opened in January at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship and will run through April 2. This biennial exhibition in Rockport, Maine, showcases the breadth, creativity and excellence of the state’s furniture makers, turners, carvers and sculptors.
