The third annual Philadelphia Invitational Furniture Show, held March 27-29 at the Philadelphia Cruise Ship Terminal, experienced a higher turnout compared to previous years, despite the slumping economy.

Two million acres set to be preserved

President Obama signed legislation March 30 designating more than two million acres in nine states as federal wilderness. The Omnibus Public Lands Management Act also preserves 1,000 miles of wild and scenic rivers.
