DeWalt turns up the volume

dewalt0320DeWalt is bringing a new job-site radio, model DCR015, to market with charging capabilities for its 12- and 20-volt Max cordless tool lines.

“Following the launch of our drills, impacts and saws, the charger/radio was the next critical product to give our users the DeWalt experience as we continue to expand our 12-volt Max and 20-volt MAX platforms,” product manager Todd Plajzer said in a statement. “This unit provides a convenient charging solution for our 12-volt MAX and 20-voltr Max battery lines packaged in a durable, versatile radio with a full range of sound.”

The charger/radio features a 360-degree roll cage, battery charger, auxiliary ports to connect digital audio devices, and two AC power outlets.

It charges 12- and 20-volt Max DeWalt battery packs while plugged into an AC power source. The radio also has the ability to run off the 12- or 20-volt battery when disconnected from AC power.

The charger/radio is expected to retail for $179. For information, visit www.dewalt.com.
