KERFGREEN is an environmentally friendly version of KerfKore, a bendable substrate and panel product used primarily for radius work.
The product has a NAF (no-added formaldehyde) core and qualifies for credits under the LEED green building rating system. It allows for horizontal- or vertical-grade laminates, metals, two-ply and phenolic-backed veneers to be laminated flat and then cold formed into virtually any shape without stress cracks, delaminating or telegraphing, according to the manufacturer. KerfGreen is available in 4x8 and 4x10 panels and thicknesses of 3/4” and 5/8”. The 3/4” KerfGreen retails for about $4/sq. ft. Contact: Kerfkore Co., 2630 Sidney Lanier Dr., Brunswick, GA 31525.
