DeWalt nailer

dewaltDEWALT says it has developed the world’s first gas-free, dual-speed, cordless framing nailer, model DCN692.

Part of the company’s 20-volt Max cordless line, the nailer features brushless motor technology, bump and sequential firing modes and a battery pack capable of driving up to 700 nails per charge. The DCN692 requires minimal maintenance and works in cold weather where gas cartridges fail, according to the company. It accepts paper-tape collated nails, clipped and full-round offset from a variety of brands, including the new complete line of DeWalt framing nails, available in 2” to 3-1/2” (sold separately). The bare tool sells for $400. www.dewalt.com
