JET adds oscillating feature to sander

For many years, wide belt sanders have had an oscillating feature, and now product developers at JET Tools have taken that a step further. The result, which JET rolled out at IWF 2008 in August, is a new cabinet version of its open-end drum sander, model 22-44OSC, with a patent-pending 1" left-to-right oscillating feature.

Grizzly Industrial introduced a 10" jointer/planer combination machine at IWF 2008 that is designed for production applications. The jointer accommodates material up to 10-1/4" wide, and the planer has a work-piece capacity of 10" wide and 8-1/4" thick.
Bessey’s K Body REVO is bigger, stronger

Bessey Tools introduced its new K Body Revo at IWF 2008, a new and improved version of the company’s original K Body woodworking clamp. The Revo offers a 30 percent increase in clamping surface, up to 1,500 lbs. of clamping force, a large comfort grip handle, and quickly converts to a spreader, according to the clamp maker.
ShopBot adds “Buddy” to compact CNC line

ShopBot recently launched its newly designed compact and mobile CNC, the Buddy, which can handle larger pieces of sheet goods than its predecessor, the ShopBot BenchTop. The Buddy models come in either 32 or 48 PRSalpha or PRSstandard versions, depending on motor and drive system.
Polhemus brings 3-D lasers to woodshops

Polhemus has introduced a handheld 3-D laser scanner, called the FastSCAN, which can create a 3-D digital replica of an object in seconds. At IWF 2008, the company touted various versions of the product.
