Festool dust extractor features auto start

Festool debuted its new CT 48 dust extractor, an extension of the company’s Clean Technology line, in October. It has the largest capacity in the CT line at 12.7 gallons, but can easily be moved around the shop or job site, according to Festool spokesman Rick Bush.

Woodstock International has introduced its new Shop Fox 18” wood/metal-cutting band saw, model M1113, featuring a 1-1/2-hp variable-speed motor. It accepts blades as narrow as 1/8” and as wide as 1-1/4” to cut small curves or resaw material up to 12” thick.

Rikon introduced its 14” professional band saw, model 10-350, at the AWFS fair. It combines some of the most prominent design features from the company’s previous models, according to company spokesman Rod Burrow.
