Archmaster unveils new line of jigs

Archmaster offers a new line of door processing jigs that consists of three products for machining stile and rail doors: the Archmaster AM-24, a sled for arching rails and panels; Railmaster RM-11, a coping sled for rail ends on cabinet doors; and Railmaster RM-16, a coping sled for rail ends on entry doors.
Rikon expands into the air-filter market

Rikon Power Tools has introduced the 950 CFM air filtration system, model 61-200, the first of five new systems that will be unveiled at July’s AWFS in Las Vegas. Rikon vice president Rod Burrow says the company is expanding into the air filtration market based on customer feedback about the importance of proper dust management.
Makita overhauls 18-volt drill/driver

Makita recently debuted its 18-volt lithium-ion-powered drill/driver, model LXFD01CW, designed to accommodate a full range of drilling, driving and fastening tasks. An update of a 2006 model, this new drill is smaller and lighter on the outside, but even more powerful on the inside, says the company.
Jet adds Vortex Cone to dust collectors

Jet is incorporating its new and exclusive Vortex Cone into several of its dust-collection units. The Vortex Cone is a disk of sheet metal built in between the plastic chip collection bag and the canister of certain single-stage dust collectors. It greatly improves chip separation to prevent clogging of the filter and increases the packing efficiency of the collector bag, according to the company.
General ‘beefs’ up its band saw

General International’s new 22" band saw, model 90-380 M1, features a one-piece steel frame, cast-iron wheels and a full 16" depth of cut, making it ideal for both general-purpose industrial shop use and resawing, according to company spokesman Norman Frampton.
