Häfele partners with Century Components

Häfele America Co. has entered into a nationwide distribution agreement with Century Components, a U.S. manufacturer of kitchen cabinet and organizational accessories.

Häfele America Co. has entered into a nationwide distribution agreement with Century Components, a U.S. manufacturer of kitchen cabinet and organizational accessories.

Starting immediately, Häfele said it will offer the full range of Century Components products through hafele.com as well as its nationwide sales and distribution network.

The National Wood Flooring Association has inducted Jorge “Tito” Boror, the business manager at LobaSand, into its Legacy Scholarship program, which honors individuals who made significant contributions throughout their lives to advance the wood flooring industry.

“Tito had so much love for his family, his friends, and this industry. He always pushed himself and those around him to improve their skills and reach the next level of professionalism,” said Michael Martin, NWFA’s president & CEO. “This scholarship is a testament to his legacy. Through it, we will continue to inspire and support wood flooring professionals in the spirit of Tito’s own passion for hands-on training.”

PaintLine recently hired Alan Baker as national sales representative. Baker is now managing and developing national business, distributor, and dealer accounts as well as building and serving key partnerships in the Dallas area where he is based.

“Hiring someone like Alan, who brings a wealth of relevant industry experience, is key for us, and we’re all looking forward to building new relationships and improving dealer services with him on board,” said PaintLine’s CEO, Kyle Robinson.

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative gave its 2023 Leadership in Conservation Award to Mosaic Forest Management, with operations in Coastal British Columbia, at its annual conference in May.

Mosaic was recognized for its early and enthusiastic adoption of SFI’s climate smart forestry objective.

“Mosaic was the first company in Canada to obtain SFI certification of all our forest lands in 2000, and we will use the additional momentum from this award to redouble our work to keep great forestry as part of the solution for a sustainable society,” according to Molly Hudson, Director of Sustainability at Mosaic.

The Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America announces a new workshop series for sales professionals from WMMA member companies. Master trainer Jeffrey Gitomer will be leading participants through a series of workshops which provide real-world ideas and strategies that can be implemented immediately.

Virtual workshops are scheduled for June 27, July 11, and Aug. 23. An in-person workshop is slated for Sept. 12 at the WMMA’s Regional Networking & Business Meeting in Canton, Ohio.

Boston’s Society of Arts + Crafts announced it will award four grants of $3,000 each in 2023 to support New England craft artists.

“The purpose of the grants is to support craft artists who reside in New England to pursue new directions or advance new ideas in their work. The goal of increasing equity, inclusion and diversity in the craft field will be an important focus of the program,” the organization said.

Two grants will be awarded this summer and the application deadline has passed. But the other two grants will be awarded in the winter with applications due Nov. 5.
