Stiles Machinery welcomed nearly 130 manufacturers from across North America to its Manufacturing Solutions Seminar, held June 14-15 in High Point, N.C.
This bi-annual event showcases solutions to current challenges facing the manufacturing industry and highlights the newest advancements in industrial machinery, software, and streamlining processes.
“This latest Manufacturing Solutions Seminar was attended by a variety of customers, all with one thing in common: getting better. The energy was high, networking was strong, and the engagement was one that was hard to replicate,” Thomas Allott, manager of Stiles University, said in a statement.

Century Components has begun production at its new 75,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and warehouse facility in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
“This facility will permit us to meet the needs of our growing customer base and allow us to support our expanding footprint without hesitation,” Mark Miller, president of Century Components, said in a statement. “It will also allow us to provide the new and innovative products that kitchen manufacturers, dealers and remodelers have come to expect from us.”
Peak Toolworks, a manufacturer and servicer of engineered diamond and carbide cutting tools in the U.S. and Canada, announced the appointment of Ron Bayus to the role of President & CEO, effective immediately. Bayus succeeds Kerry Baskins, who will continue to serve the company in an advisory role to Peak’s Board of Directors.
“Ron has made a tremendous contribution to Peak over his five-year tenure and brings enormous energy, vision, and continuity to the organization.” Baskins said in a statement. “Peak is growing in every fundamental area and Ron helped drive that momentum. I couldn’t be more excited for Ron’s promotion, the future of the organization and the opportunity for me to remain engaged with the board.”
The first New England Woodworking Competition, hosted by the nonprofit Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers, is scheduled for Oct. 21 at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center & Planetarium in Concord N.H.
The judges will be evaluating the entries in 11 categories relative to ability and experience.
“The show provides an opportunity for woodworkers to display and discuss their craft and for the community to view the best in high quality woodworking design and construction from across the region,” event chair Elliot Savitzky said in a statement.
