Columbia Forest Products teamed up with The Home Depot to offer PureBond 5-Shelf Bookcase Kits, available through an exclusive online program.

The kits assemble to a height of 6’ and a width of 3’, with adjustable shelves. Unlike other RTA or fully assembled bookcases, they feature solid hardwood tops and frames with sturdy PureBond formaldehyde-free hardwood plywood sides, shelves, backs and bottoms, according to the company.

The bookcase kits assemble with ease thanks to Columbia’s patented Groove-Lock system for a perfect-tight fit without clamping, stapling or waiting for glue to dry.

The kits are offered in cherry, maple, poplar and red oak.

According to Columbia Forest Products director of marketing Todd Vogelsinger, the objective is to make the pride of craftsmanship available to more people.

“Our goal is to help make working with furniture fun, easy and rewarding – even for people with no previous experience,” Vogelsinger said. “Having these high-quality/high-precision all-wood kits available in several species removes traditional fears or obstacles and paves the way for many more beautiful and enduring projects to happen.”

Other PureBond kit products include three-shelf bookcases and entryway benches.
