Leitz Tooling will feature new tooling and technology to enhance productivity at the 2015 AWFS fair in Las Vegas.

Among the highlights in the Leitz exhibit will be its contribution to Industry 4.0 network-capable tooling. A Visionary Award entry, these tools are engineered with eApps chips that will allow users to monitor tooling conditions without shutting down production. This will help ensure more consistent processing quality and manage service cycles more effectively, according to the company.

Leitz’s second Visionary Award entry is the ProfilCut Q Premium, a profile tooling system. Combining top processing speed with easy knife changeover and maintenance results in greater productivity on every shift, ProfileCut Q Premium is perfect for windows, doors, furniture and flooring, according to the company.

“We’ve spent the last few years re-engineering our tooling, facilities and development processes to be faster, more nimble and able to respond to the advancements in manufacturing around us,” Leitz CEO Mike Lind said in a statement. “Now we’re not only contributing, we’re leading.”
