AWI announces 2010 Standard of Excellence winners

Fetzer Architectural Woodwork of West Valley City, Utah, was the overall winner of the Architectural Woodwork Institute's Standard of Excellence program, which recognizes the finest custom architectural woodwork.

Fetzer was honored for its work on the Alice Tully Performance Hall in the Julliard School of Music in New York City.

The AWI Standard of Excellence winners are chosen from projects published in the recent editions of Design Solutions, the trade group's quarterly journal. Other winners included:

? Architectural Woodwork Corp. in St. Louis, winner of the Health Care Category SOE award for work on St. John's Heart Hospital in St. Louis.

? Art of Woodwork & Design Charleston LLC in North Charleston, S.C., winner of the Residential Category SOE award for work on the Potts Residence in Daniel Island, S.C.

? Montbleau and Associates Inc. in San Diego, winner of the Hospitality Category SOE award for work on the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, Calif.

? Lange Bros. Woodwork Co. Inc. in Milwaukee, winner of the Worship Category SOE award for work on the Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun Synagogue in Fox Point, Wis.

? Low Country Case & Millwork Inc. in Ladson, S.C., winner of the Corporate Office Category SOE award for work on the Mike Long Executive Suite in Beaufort, S.C.

? Stephenson Millwork Co. Inc. of Wilson, N.C., winner of the Public Facility Category SOE award for work on Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, N.C.
