C.R. Onsrud, a manufacturer of CNC machinery in Troutman, N.C., broke ground on March 1 for the construction of a new 67,000-sq.-ft. building. The addition will expand the company’s manufacturing campus to 225,000 sq. ft.

The company says the new construction will house production of its larger machines as well as additional offices.

"We feel very fortunate to be in a position of growth and opportunity, investing in the future of manufacturing, and the positive impact this has on the people in our local community,” Tom Onsrud, CEO of C.R. Onsrud, said in a statement. “And I think our customers will be pleased because now we'll have the space to make more machines — especially the large ones — and ship them out faster.”

The new building is expected to be completed during Q2 of 2024.
