The Forest Products Society, the global network for forest products professionals, contracted with the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, a professional organization dedicated to the pulp and paper industries, to provide management services for the society’s operations.

The Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry is the leading association for the worldwide pulp, paper, packaging and converting industries, providing management training and networking to industry leaders. The association will allow the Forest Products Society to tap into its wide range of services and capabilities, which include publication services, marketing, event management, and program development.

“We’re very excited about the benefits of this partnership,” Forest Products Society executive vice president Stefan A. Bergmann said in a statement. “In addition to administrative support that will greatly enhance the services we provide to our members, [the association] can help [us] expand and promote our brand and services to a wider geographic area.”

As part of the partnership, the Forest Products Society will remain an independent association with its own bylaws, organizational structure, board of directors and officers, and member dues. The Forest Products Society will continue to be headquartered in Madison, Wis.
