The Wood Education and Resource Center in Princeton, W.Va., is hosting a one-day leadership conference on Aug. 2 aimed at supporting the growth of wood products in the U.S. made with domestic woods.
The workshop will consist of discussions by leaders in private industry, supporting industry trade associations, public forestry organizations and universities. Innovative solutions to industry production and marketing problem will be offered to support greater sales and profitability for wood products manufacturing operations.
This leadership conference is part of Phase II of the Wood Education and Resource Center grant project “Reinventing Hardwood Markets” that is working on ideas to create demand for U.S. hardwood lumber and plywood products in the value added area of cabinets, furniture and millwork in residential and commercial markets.
The cost of the workshop is $35.
The leadership conference is co-sponsored by WERC and North Carolina State University.
