Makita released a new cordless cutting solution for framing, formwork and carpentry with the 18-volt X2 LXT rear-handle 7-1/4” circular saw, model XSR01.
The saw runs on two 18-volt lithium-ion batteries, so users get maximum power and run-time without the cord, according to the company.
“Contractors tell us they want cordless and believe in the benefits of cordless, but so far there has not been a cordless 7-1/4" saw with the power and speed that they've come to expect out of their current corded saws, until now. The Makita XSR01 gives them what they need, and more," product manager Andrew Camp said in a statement.
The bare tool sells for $199. It’s also available in a kit with two 5.0-Ah batteries for $359.
