Belgian startup Mekanika introduces its new open-source FAB CNC panel milling machine for producing cabinets, furniture, stairs, signs, and more.
“With its user-friendly design and reliable performance, the FAB CNC machine is a must-have for workshops looking to speed up their production,” the company said in a statement.
Some of its key characteristics include a 1300 x 2700mm working area to mill wood, aluminum, plastic, and fiberboard; an air-cooled 2.2kW spindle with speeds from 5,000 to 24,000 rpm; an intuitive interface with a capacitive touchscreen and wireless keypad, and five-year warranty, according to the company.
The Mekanika FAB is available for pre-order at a special launch price of €11,900 (approximately $12,800), excluding taxes, with all add-ons including the spindle, interface, onboarded computer, dust collection system, and spoiler board.
