KL Communications, promoters of the fourth annual Milwaukee Fine Furnishings & Fine Craft Show, changed this year’s event to Oct. 3-4 in The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. The show was originally scheduled for Sept. 26-27 at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.

“I looked on and off for a year for a venue that was more intimate for our show, a location that also would provide a fitting architectural backdrop, additional activities as well as a wide range of amenities and services for the exhibitors and attendees alike,” show manager Karla Little said in a press release. “I instantly fell in love with the Harley-Davison Museum site. It is alive with activity. I love the entire site and the surrounding area — the buildings, the grounds, all of the amenities, the bridges, the river and the views. It is a perfect fit, and I can’t wait for the show to happen there this fall.”

This year’s event will feature handcrafted furniture, furnishings, fine art and crafts from more than 60 exhibitors from across North America, but primarily from Wisconsin. The Harley-Davidson Museum is located at the crossroads of 6th and Canal streets.

“We are also changing the date for the show. We are moving it to the first weekend in October,” Little says.

“I came to the realization that September is still summer in Wisconsin in many people’s eyes and even just one weekend later in the year is better for the exhibitors and attendees. I am also thrilled that the Green Bay Packers will be playing Monday Night Football on Oct. 5, so there is no game conflict for the show, either.”
