New battery kit coming from Festool

Festool USA will release its new Energy Set – four Li-ion batteries and a rapid charger packaged in a Systainer³ transport system – on Aug. 3 that;’s compatible with most of the company’s 18-volt tools.

The Energy Set features Festool’s new Airstream technology that rapidly cools the battery and allows for 60 percent faster charging compared to previous generation chargers, according to the company.

“Festool has released many exciting, cordless tools in the past year, from the TID 18 Impact Driver to the TSC 55 K track saw because we know how important mobility is to our customers. They depend on our cordless tools to be long-lasting and offer rapid charging while still providing the same premium performance for which Festool has always been known,” Rick Bush, product marketing manager at Festool USA, said in a statement.
