The Minnesota Woodworker’s Guild hosted the 39th annual Northern Woods Exhibition, Apr. 27-30, at the Eden Prairie Center.

Northern Woods provides an opportunity for amateur and professional woodworkers to display and discuss their craft, and for the community to view their work.

Cindy Darwin of Kerrick, Minn., won Best of Show for a steam bent armchair.

“This chair has helped me grow my skill levels in many ways starting with attending a class in Maine at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship,” Darwin wrote in the exhibition catalog. “I learned about selecting wood species, air or kiln dried, and the many ways to actually curve wood.”

The Peer Award went to Mukunda Obrien of Mankato, Minn., while Matthew Bruhn of Maplewood, Minn., and Roger Knudson and John Walkowiak, both from Finlayson, Minn., won the three Judges Awards.
