New Oxford High School in New Oxford, Pa., won the first “Win a SawStop for your School Shop” video contest, sponsored by SawStop LLC.

Entrants made videos explaining why their school and shop teacher should win SawStop table saws. New Oxford did a spinoff of “The New Yankee Workshop.”

“The videos were very entertaining and educational, and the contest saw over 4,000 votes before a winner was decided. All the entrants are deserving of recognition, and at the end of the day it was great to help a school in need,” SawsTop marketing director Matt Howard said in a statement.

“On behalf of the school board, district administrators, faculty, staff, students, and most importantly the community of New Oxford Pennsylvania I would like to thank SawStop,” said shop teacher Andrew Warner, who donated his prize to the school. “With the addition of the saws our shops will be much safer and many students will start their futures in woodworking.”
