Pro Edge Technology adds the Elev8

Pro Edge Technology has engineered the Elev8 CNC Edge & Dowel machine that combines multiple machines into one. It provides 8mm bore and dowel insertion plus true 3-axis CNC edge routing. This enables the complete manufacture of Shaker-style and louvered doors, Soss hinges, water or glue dowel insertion, and much more, according to the company.

“The CNC edge routing capability includes machining of both the edge and bottom of panels. The router is equipped with tool touch-off device in both horizontal and vertical axes. Elev8 also provides open-architecture parametric programming capabilities allowing for your choice of design software. It offers the flexibility to program hardware location, dowel insertion, dados and blind dados to automatically change as the panel sizes change,” the company said in a statement.

“Elev8 also allows for all types of special router machining to be done on the panel, not just 8mm brad-point drills. Every detail of this machine has been logically considered and well-engineered to make operation as smooth and easy as possible and comes standard with a two-year warranty.”
