Pittsburg (Kan.) State University recently announced that RT Machine Co., of Hughesville, Pa., is a new “Partners in Education” member. The company has donated an SCMI model Startech 23 boring machine for use in the school’s Wood Technology program.
Ed Thomas, president of RT Machine Co., is supportive of the educational process and is helping provide students with the opportunity to use the state of the art equipment and processes, according to Pittsburg Sate Wood Technology professor Davis Miles.
“We were in need of a vertical and horizontal boring machine that would enhance our cell based manufacturing unit, and after contacting RT Machine Company, I received a call from Mr. Thomas stating that they would like to donate a machine to help our program. This was a pleasant surprise, and we welcome RT Machine Company to our growing list of “Partners in Education.”
