Steve Carter becomes president of WMMA

The Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America has announced the election of Steve Carter as its new president. Carter is the owner of Williams & Hussey

Williams & Hussey has been a WMMA member since 1986. Carter has been active in volunteering his services on committees as a member, co-chair and chair. He has served as treasurer and vice president.

“I have been fortunate enough to be able to give back to an association and industry that has allowed me to have a successful and rewarding career. Through good times and bad times I received advice and counseling from colleagues and other professionals in the industry as a result of my networking in WMMA. The networking opportunities in WMMA are invaluable,” Carter said in a statement.

“As the new president I will make every effort to address the issues before WMMA such as Career Technical Education stigma and funding needs, technical standard issues that threaten our members in the world standards arena and ensuring the future success of IWF. I will focus on increasing our member participation to build a stronger WMMA. I am looking forward to working with all of the member volunteers who are working to make WMMA stronger now and in the future.”
