Stiles hosts Engineered Wood Flooring Days

Stiles Machinery, in partnership with Homag Group of Germany, hosted Engineered Wood Flooring Days May 2-3 in High Point, N.C. This new event brought together 75 industry representatives for the two-day seminar.

“The engineered wood flooring industry has experienced tremendous changes due to the expansion in global competition,” Stiles senior product manager Joe Keilen said in a statement. “With this event, we generated new ideas to help the industry become stronger and more competitive.”

Industry experts presented relevant topics including the impact of global influences, industry trends and new technology available for efficient production methods.

Equipment demonstrations also highlighted methods to increase volume and efficiency throughout the entire production cycle including veneer options, pressing, cross-cutting, sanding, finishing, nesting, packaging and clip insertion. “We provided a forum for businesses to discover what new technology is available and gave attendees a chance to network,” Keilen said.
