Symop (Syndicat des Machines et Technologies de Production), the French machinery and manufacturing technology association, and Deutsche Messe are partnering to operate ExpoBois, France’s leading wood industry trade fair.
Symop is the primary stakeholder in ExpoBois and has been organizing and operating the show since 1961. Deutsche Messe is the owner/operator of the world’s biggest trade fair and exhibition complex in Hannover, Germany, and produces the Ligna event.
“Having developed and refined the ExpoBois format over the course of many years, we have decided it is time to bring on board a strong partner of high international standing to take it to the next level. Our exhibitors and visitors will benefit from Deutsche Messe’s high international standards of quality and service,” Symop general manager Jean Tournoux said in a statement.
The first jointly produced ExpoBois is scheduled for Sept. 27-30, 2016, at the Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris.
