Woodcraft Invites Community To Make A Free Pen For Military Personnel

On Nov. 9 & 10, Woodcraft will conduct a pen turning event at many of its retail locations for American service personnel as part of the company’s Turn for Troops initiative. For the past 20 years, Woodcraft has dedicated, without charge, the space, supplies and guidance needed for anyone who wishes to make a lathe-turned wooden pen as a token of respect and thanks to U.S. military men and women, including active-duty, rehabilitating service members and Veterans.

"As a company, we are deeply committed to supporting our troops, and this program allows the community to play a meaningful role in that mission. Turn for Troops is a hands-on way to show appreciation and respect for those who serve our country,” said Woodcraft President Tom Huntington. “By coming together to handcraft these pens, we not only honor their sacrifice but also create a personal, lasting reminder of our gratitude,” he added.
