Woodcraft’s Pen Designer encourages creativity

Woodcraft recently unveiled its new Pen Designer, an online tool that allows woodturners to explore hundreds of pen and pencil options to create and preview their favorite custom designs before they touch a lathe.

Pen turners will find more than 39,000 combinations of pen blanks, styles and finishes at www.woodcraft.com/designit. The site makes it easy to combine wood or man-made materials such as acrylic and Tru-Stone, with pen styles such as Wall Street and Premier Cigar in gold, chrome, and other finishes (depending on the selected style). Select a blank and click through the styles and options or choose a style/option and click through the blanks to discover your favorites.

Viewers have the option to print their shopping list and then purchase their selections at their local Woodcraft store, by calling (800) 225-1153 or going to www.woodcraft.com.

“Our Pen Designer brings together at one location the many pen and pencil blank and kit selections available at Woodcraft, in order to allow turners to spend time ‘creating’ their design rather than searching for options. In a matter of minutes, you can easily click through lots of choices and see immediately how they look together,” product development manager Ben Bice said in a statement.
