Camaster updates Panther CNCs with SmartCore

Camaster, a CNC router manufacturer based in Cartersville, Ga., has updated its Panther series CNC routers with the company’s SmartCore technology to provide numerous performance benefits for shops without three-phase power.

“The Panther is a powerful single-phase machine. So essentially what [SmartCore] does is put its powerful PLC-based industrial controller into a commercial machine designed for customers in small- to mid-sized cabinet and sign shops,” says Cody Smith, the company’s sales director.

“Many of them don’t have three-phase power. They’re not in a big industrial complex. But they still have to put out a high-quality product. So now you have a machine with all that power, with all that capability, with all that integration, that is also single phase.”
