DeWalt has added its Power Detect technology to four of its new 20-volt XR brushless tools, including a 7-1/4” circular saw, reciprocating saw, 5” angle grinder and hammer drill.
Power Detect can identify the battery the tool is paired with and adjust the power output accordingly, the company says.
“This is ideal for commercial contractor applications where premium power, performance, runtime and productivity are required,” the company said in a statement. “The new tools also feature upgraded motors and components compared to their predecessors and durable housings.”
They are paired in kits with DeWalt’s new 20-volt 8.0Ah battery and charger, selling for $279. The 8.0Ah battery sells separately for $179.
