Dremel, a division of the Robert Bosch Tool Corp., has introduced the battery-operated 3-in-1 Digital Laser Measurer with two interchangeable heads – a tape measure and wheel adapter – for measuring distance, circumference, curves and uneven surfaces.

“Our goal with the 3-in-1 Laser Measurer is to modernize measuring,” Dremel’s Michael Landt said in a statement. “We take the guess work out of measuring by offering this simple, sleek product to help make measuring a fast and easy process. Its compact size permits one-handed use which makes taking on solo measuring projects especially easy. It’s actually fun to use.”

The main device has a built-in laser for measuring distance in imperial units from 1/2” to 65’. The device can store two measurements and has a five-hour runtime, according to the company.

The tape measure adapter is a 5’ tape reel that gives distances to the device’s digital screen as its extended or retracted.

The wheel adapter features a small wheel that also registers with the main device. Measurements appear on the screen in accordance with the measurement the wheel has detected from being rolled across a surface.

The Dremel 3-in-1 Digital Laser Measurer sells for about $80.
