Dremel drops the cordless Ultra-Saw

Dremel has introduced the US20V Ultra-Saw, a cordless tool for cutting wood, metal, plastic, tile and more. It’s a 20-volt tool that uses 4” abrasive wheels.
“I think woodworkers will really benefit from the abrasive cutting technology and the cordless freedom of the US20V,” says Dremel’s Michael Landt.
“The abrasive cutting wheel leaves a clean and smooth edge that is a different experience from traditional toothed blades. Our US500 wood cutting wheel that comes standard with the tool is designed to limit splinters and chipping; and is made with premium carbide for long life.”
The tool offers a cutting speed of up to 15,000 rpm, according tioo the company. It has two different wheel positions to achieve straight and flush cuts. An aluminum foot and guard help with stability and control, and an auxiliary handle – a grip that attaches to the guard – puts two hands on the tool.
The Utlra-Saw is offered in two kits. The US20V-01 kit (above) includes the saw, battery, charger, and three cutting wheels for about $180. The US20V-02 kit includes an extra battery for $229. For more, visit www.dremel.com.
