The new CMS router table from Festool has a host of features that will allow woodworkers better control over workpieces. Equipped with a smooth sliding table, exacting miter gauge and a solid extension table, as well as featherboard and hold-down options, this portable solution is ideal for routing applications in the shop or on the jobsite, says the company.
Designed to work specifically with the Festool OF 1400 and OF 1010 routers, the table features independently adjustable fences with precision micro-adjustment, as well as a dust control system.
“The CMS stands for compact module system. Like everything with Festool, we try to take the systems approach because everything works more efficiently when it works together. Efficiency is the bottom line and you can do more in less time,” says product manager Rick Bush.
The system is available in two different models: the freestanding GE model and the modular MFT/3 add-on VL model, and each of these two models are available in two versions, with and without optional accessories. The GE model offers more flexibility in that it can be used in the folded position on top of a bench or with the legs unfolded as a free-standing router table.
The four table configurations range in price from $1,000 to $1,600.
