Global Shop Solutions, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product provider, has launched its Fast Track ERP Implementation methodology for manufacturing facilities to help increase their organizational efficiency. Developed as an alternative to a standard implementation process, this method lets facility managers experience a quick and easy transition into the program with minimal disruption to their work operations, according to the company.

“Implementations can be challenging, especially for small- to mid-sized manufacturers, because they’re a stretch on resources, particularly those that wear a lot of hats. So, what we tried to do with this Fast Track Implementation is really focus on getting the basics up and running and allow them to grow into it,” says Chris Pinaire, director of consulting and implementation for Global Shop Solutions.

Pinaire explains the product is meant to be fully up and running, or “go live”, in 120 days or less, as research indicates implementation within that timeframe typically produces the best results for small- to mid-size manufacturers.

“We want to give them an immediate ROI in those 90 to 120 days and get rid of the redundant processes and clean up the silos of information that usually happen in these smaller companies,” he says.

This simplified “Fast Track” process works on a set training schedule to keep the implementation moving forward with specific goals and milestones and does not feature customization or advanced functionality as standard implementations do. New customers should meet certain criteria for the program to work properly. Once live on the ERP system, additional functionality can be added/implemented at any point in the future, according to the company.
