The latest from Grex Power Tools is a cordless, 21-gauge 2” brad nailer that weighs about four pounds with the batteries.
The GCH850 is the smallest and most compact version of cordless brad nailers on the market that eliminates the need for compressed air, according to the company.
“The 21-gauge brad nailer is a perfect compromise providing holding power closer to that of an 18-gauge brad nail but leaves a hole size closer to that of a 23-gauge pin. This translates into both time and cost savings by being able to go onto a jobsite with only one nailer instead of two different tools,” says Lee Iacopetti, national accounts manager for Grex.
Using combustion-based electric technology, the tool operates with two AAA batteries and a replaceable gas fuel cartridge. The fuel capacity offers approximately 1,300 shots per cartridge and the battery capacity is about 50,000 shots per set of batteries, according to the company.
It accepts a fastener range of 3/8” to 2”.
The GCH850 is priced at $499. Fuel cartridges are sold separately.
