InnovaShelf, a manufacturer of floating shelf products, featured three new brackets and two shelf styles at the 2022 IWF in Atlanta.

Floating shelves are a popular design trend and they’re expected to hold a lot of weight, according to the company’s owner, Laban Graber.

“When floating shelves began, they were typically just decorative. But as time moves on, we’re seeing them become a functional shelf for books and other (heavy) things. We’re also seeing a lot of window seats and floating benches, especially in a mud room.”

The company’s most popular product is the T-Loc bracket for shelves 2” and thicker that can hold up to 1,000 pounds. “Because it’s a two-part system, it makes it really easy to install because the base plate is separate from the arm,” says Graber.

The EZ-Loc is a lighter duty version, rated for holding less than 100 pounds.

The third bracket supports vanities from 15” to 84” wide. Graber says this floating shelf application is especially popular in multi-housing developments for its clean, simple look.

InnovaShelf offers a line of Live Edge shelves (ash, cherry, maple, and quartersawn white oak) in standard and custom sizes. The other shelf line is called Contempo, constructed from plywood, MDF and hardwoods.
