Kreg Tool has introduced the Adaptive Cutting System, a track saw and table system that adjusts to a variety of cutting needs.

The key highlight is how it combines the advantages of guided cutting with a project table that supports and positions materials precisely, the company explains. This allows for cross, rip and miter cuts, or panel processing.

“Our idea was to try to come up with an alternative way, other than having to go from table saw to miter saw, etc., to be able to handle cutting sheet goods and solid wood in a way that would be portable and safe,” says Kreg’s Dave Stone.

“That’s why we started with a track guided plunge saw. But where it really comes in is having the project table that has the built-in measuring systems and the workpiece supports and stops.”

Kreg includes the saw, 62” guide track and table in a Master Kit that sells for about $900.
