Kreg presents a pair of pocket-hole jigs
Kreg presents a pair of pocket-hole jigs.
Kreg Tool has introduced a new line of 300 Series pocket-hole jigs and accessories that simplify the setup process.
“Kreg’s always had multiple stops on its jigs for essentially every 1/8” of board thickness. With this new series you can still work with all of those thicknesses, but we’ve pared it down to essentially three ranges (1/2”, 1” and 1-1/2”) of thickness,” says Kreg’s Dave Stone.
“When assembling a pocket hole joint, we always want the joining workpiece as close to the center of its thickness as possible to minimize chance of splitting. But we know you don’t have to be perfectly centered. Here, there are three ranges, so people don’t have to be quite as defined but can do the same things as before.”
The 300 Series includes the 320 jig with two drill guides and a spacer, and the 310 jig with one drill guide. They sell as kits for about $40 and $20, respectively.
