Milwaukee Tool has added to the track saw category with a 6-1/2” cordless model, part of its M18 Fuel family of tools.

“This is a tool that has grown in popularity over the years and has become a must-have for the professional carpenter. Track saws are remarkably accurate and clean with their cuts; a tool that users have been needing on the jobsite and in the shop. We developed the new saw to provide users with a solution that has the corded performance, with the convenience and portability of cordless,” says Tyson Apfelbeck, vice president of product management for Milwaukee Tool.

The saw has a 2-1/4” depth of cut and a bevel range of -1 to 48 degrees. It features a variable speed dial, three bevel stops, and a brushless motor.

The company has also introduced a line of blades for the new track saw. Available for general purpose, finish, fine finish, fiber cement, and laminate cutting, the blades feature an anti-friction coating that resists corrosion and gumming, and cobalt-infused tungsten carbide teeth, according to the company.

The saw sells in kit, model 2831-21, for $549. It includes an XC6.0 battery, charger, and carrying case. Guide rails, available in lengths of 31”, 55” and 108”, and other accessories are sold separately.
