Miniature dovetail kit

MINIATURE DOVETAIL KIT, available from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, produces finished joints that look identical to traditional dovetails, only smaller. The miniature kit is designed for use with the Rockler Complete Dovetail Jig and includes narrow 1/8" shank bits and a reduced guide collar, which combine with the template to create 1/4" through dovetail joints with tighter spacing (1/2" or 5/8" on center) than any other dovetail system, according to Rockler. The tighter spacing translates to more pins and tails per inch, which allows dovetails to fit on small box projects such as jewelry boxes and pencil boxes. The kit also includes a collet reducer to adapt routers for the thin shank bits.
