New contour edge bander from SNX

SNX Technologies introduced the nVision C1.5 contour edge bander, designed for open-ended and tight inside radii parts, at the AWFS Fair in July.

The C1.5 can edge band and trim inside radii as small as 7/16”, and open-ended parts up to 8’.

“We’re super excited to introduce the SNX nVision C1.5,” says Craig Sexton, owner of SNX Technologies. “Due to the demand, cabinet and closet manufacturing companies continue developing more finished products incorporating contour parts.”

The challenge for SNX, he says, was “to develop a price-point edge bander to address the growing demand for open-ended contour (curved) parts. We redesigned the edge banding application cell to be limited to open-ended parts and upgraded the top and bottom trimmer to be able to trim a 7/16” inside radii.”

The machine features a Programmable Logic Controller, 20,000 rpm ER20 collet-type spindles (top/bottom), and the company’s articulating vacuum support arm. It uses standard EVA hot-melt glue.

The standard machine comes with banding and trimming stations, one set of cutting tools, two articulated vacuum arms, an edge band coil stand, one vacuum pod, on-site installation, training, customer service, and a one-year limited warranty.
