BOWJAK from Vaughan & Bushnell is described as a board "straightener" that takes the curves out of warped, bent or crooked boards. When placed next to a bowed board, the BowJak is tapped into place on the adjacent joist, then the handle is pulled to force the board straight for final hammering. The operation is quick and can close gaps up to 2-1/4", according to the company. The 12" BowJak weighs 26 oz., fits most tool pouches and is available at retailers for $38.
