Anest Iwata, a spray tool and coating system manufacturer, presents two new spray gun kits, Blue and Red, featuring the company’s W-400-LV-WBX spray gun.
The gun operates at a low air pressure with a wide fan pattern, saving painters time and materials while providing a smooth, flat finish, according to the company. “The WBX is a very versatile, high-quality spray gun that’s very fast and great for water-based coatings,” says Rick Bennett, the company’s business development and technology manage. “It only has three cuts in the nozzle, unlike our more traditional split nozzle guns, and that’s better for maintenance. You’ll have less gumming up of the nozzle from thicker water-based coatings that can get sticky.”
The Blue kit includes 1.2mm, 1.3mm and 1.5mm sizes of nozzle needles, while the Red has 1.3mm, 1.5mm and 1.8mm sizes. Both kits include a gravity paint cup, air regulator, spray gun lubricant, brush and wrench.
The Blue kit is suitable for very fine to medium viscosity materials including sealers and base coats. The Red kit is for general-purpose spraying, according to Bennett.
“I’d recommend the Red kit for the woodworking market because it can handle everything from most waterborne primers to basecoats to clearcoats,” says Bennett.
