Next Wave Automation introduced the CNC Hammerhead, its largest machine to date, which features a steel frame, steel gantry supports and a rigid, interlocking aluminum table at IWF 2018.
One of the leading features of the CNC Hammerhead is its size and cutting capacity; with a table of 63” x 30”, it has extra-large machining capability of 29” x 49” x 7” which makes it the largest format CNC under $10,000, according to the company.
The CNC Hammerhead sells for $6,499 with Vectric V Carve Pro and Next Wave Automation’s Virtual Zero software at no additional charge. It will be available in January 2019.
“The CNC Hammerhead is a must-have, for people who want an industrial, commercial grade CNC without the high price tag,” Tim Owens, Next Wave Automation’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We wanted to bring superior functionality, innovation and quality to the market at an affordable price point, and with CNC Hammerhead, we’ve done just that.”
