The new Super Dust Deputy from Oneida Air Systems can turn an inefficient single-stage, 1.5- to 3-hp dust collector into a super cyclonic collector, according to the company.
Product manager Ken Nichols says the device was designed for smaller shops as an inexpensive way to keep dust collection systems clean and flowing.
“We had the Super Dust Deputy previously with the same compact footprint, but it was a metal version cyclone. This new one is made of a molded static dissipative plastic. It’s a little less expensive and the design is slightly different, so essentially it’s even more efficient than our old one. It separates over 99 percent of waste material before it reaches your collector,” says Nichols.
The separation feature prevents filter clogging and keeps airflow high and consistent. Its cyclone is only 27” tall and can be attached to any sturdy, air-tight dust container or to the optional 17-gallon steel drum. With a 5” inlet and 6” outlet ports, installation simply requires the use of an appropriate diameter flex hose and any necessary reducers.
The Super Dust Deputy sells for a special introductory price of $169.
