OVVO introduces new DH1 connectors

OVVO, a manufacturer of hidden connectors, introduces its new Drilling Housing (DH1) connectors that are compatible with standard inline drilling processes. The DH1 works with OVVO’s RD12 and RN12 connectors to join panels of thicknesses from 15mm and above.
“The new Drilling Housing products make it easier than ever for manufacturers to achieve the benefits of tools free assembly,” Brendan Phillips, OVVO’s chief executive, said in an interview with Woodshop News.
The DH1 connects cabinet and furniture parts using standard drill holes on both sides of the joint. Like all OVVO connectors, they get installed during the manufacturing process so the end-user can assemble parts without tools, screws or glues.
They can be used with a variety of materials from hardwood to particleboard and are available in a range of sizes in both permanent and releasable options.
“Manufacturers no longer need to pre-assemble cabinets prior to delivery – simply snap everything together onsite or even let the consumer do it – it’s that easy. Ultimately, this saves time and money on labor and transportation,” says Phillips.
OVVO, based in Ireland, recently announced partnerships with software providers Cabinet Vision, TopSolid, iFurn, Swood, and Cabinet Sense to help manufacturers incorporate its connectors into existing processes and develop new products.
