Senco presents its first cordless stapler, the F-LXP, featuring the company’s Fusion technology that enables it to perform like a pneumatic tool but without the need for a hose or compressor, says the company.

The F-LXP accommodates 18-gauge L-wire staples with a 1/2” crown, ranging from 3/8” to 1-1/2” in length.

“From securing cabinet backing to assembling drawers to installing thin moldings, 1/4” or narrow crown staplers are ideal for a wide variety of woodworking applications,” says senior product manager Eric Bellman.

The F-LXP includes a self-contained compressed air cylinder that doesn’t require refilling for everyday use. When the trigger is pulled, the tool’s driver blade is released, driving fasteners like a traditional stapler. The tool’s 18-volt, lithium-ion battery powers an electric motor that recompresses the air in a fraction of a second, allowing for instant firing with no ramp-up time, according to the company.

Other features include a thumbwheel depth of drive adjustment, selectable actuation switch, dry fire lockout, and LED work light.

“The tool is also designed to be service center friendly as a pressure release valve allows it to be depressurized and refilled quickly and safely if maintenance or repair is required,” the company said.

The F-LXP sells for $389 with a storage bag, battery and charger.
