Triton Tools introduces the new 1.2-hp trim router, model TMNRTR, to complement its existing lineup.
“What you find with a lot of the Triton products, and specifically this one, is a very feature rich product at a very fair price. This comes with two different bases: a plunge base, where you can make adjustments above the table, and an edge base,” says Stas’ Kotula, North America business development manager for Toolstream, a distributor of Triton products.
“From an application perspective, at the end of the day, it’s a handy, lightweight compact router that’s easy to control and get a good finish. It’s smaller than our other routers and ideal for a variety of smaller tasks including trim work, mortising, moldings or laminates. The two bases let it do all these different things.”
The router has soft start and variable speed control, ranging from 11,500 to 31,000 rpm (no load), according to the manufacturer.
The plunge base features an integral router lift, micro depth adjustment, depth stop, parallel fence guide, and more. The edge base has a roller guide attachment for using bits without bearings.
The Triton trim router retails for $179 to $199.
